Julianne Moore is sharing a little secret about her time shooting her 1998 film The Big Lebowski.
On Wednesday, Jan. 8, the actress, 64, appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and spoke with host Drew Barrymore about what it was like filming the iconic movie. As she discussed the film, Moore shared that she was actually pregnant with her son Caleb, now 27, while the movie was shooting.
“I was pregnant with my son. The first time I was pregnant. I was so sick that day,” Moore said of filming a specific scene. “I was so nauseous.”
“I could barely move and that dress was really solid and made from styrofoam… I was just unbelievably sick,” she continued. “And I couldn’t tell anyone I was pregnant because I didn’t want them to know.”
Moore shares son Caleb and daughter Liv, 22, with her husband, director Bart Freundlich.
In April, The Room Next Door actress shared a series of photos on her Instagram in celebration of her daughter’s 22nd birthday. In the photos, Moore’s daughter bore a striking resemblance to the star, smiling and posing in a few throwback pictures.
“Happy 22nd birthday @livfreundlich – you are not little anymore but you will always be my baby. I love you so much – thank you for being the daughter of my dreams,” Moore wrote in her caption.
“I am so looking forward to all this year will bring you✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨.”
Later that year in June, the mom of two shared a carousel post of snaps celebrating her daughter Liv graduating from Northwestern University.
“This smart, wonderful, beautiful and insightful young woman graduated from @northwesternu,” Moore wrote in her caption alongside a photo of Liv smiling while sitting amongst other university graduates. “We are bursting with pride @livfreundlich – congratulations on your accomplishment #wildcat. We love love love you. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜.”
In the second photo, Liv held up a sign that read “English — Northwestern Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences” during the graduation ceremony, while in the third she posed with her pals as they held up champagne bottles.
