‘A splash in the water’: Police Provide Update After 15-Year-Old Thomas Medlin Mysteriously Vanishes
Police in New York continue their search for a 15-year-old boy who has not been seen in over two weeks.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Thomas Medlin left school on January 9, and is believed to have taken a train from Long Island to New York City, to possibly meet someone he met in an online game, Roblox.
Suffolk police said Thomas had been at Grand Central Station around 5:30 p.m., then seen via video footage at around 7:06 p.m., walking across a Manhattan Bridge walkway.
“The last activity on his cell phone was on January 9 at 7:09 p.m. and a nearby surveillance camera captured a splash in the water on January 9 at 7:10 p.m. Medlin was never seen leaving the bridge via path exits,” Suffolk police said.

Following “a review of digital evidence,” investigators determined that his disappearance was not connected to online gaming platforms, according to FOX 5 New York.
“There is no indication of criminal activity,” police said.
Thomas stands 5 feet, 4 inches tall, and weighs around 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with red stripes, dark sweatpants with white stripes, a black backpack, and glasses.
Anyone with information regarding the teen’s whereabouts should call Suffolk County’s Fourth Squad Detectives at 631-854-8452.
