‘We are elated to greenlight a second season of this global phenomenon,’ says Paramount Global CEO
MOBLAND has quickly become one of the hottest new shows on Paramount+, gaining a dedicated fanbase in just a few short months since its first season premiered on March 30. If you haven’t watched it yet, you’re missing out on a gripping crime drama. Spoiler alert: The following contains key plot points from Season 1.
As MobLand wrapped up its first season on Paramount+ on June 1, fans have been eagerly awaiting news of a second season — which has now been confirmed. Here’s what we know so far.
Will MobLand return for Season 2?
Chris McCarthy, one of Paramount Global’s three CEOs and the president of Showtime/MTV Entertainment, said in a statement: ‘With more than 26 million viewers and climbing, MobLand has become a resounding triumph — driven by the creative brilliance of Guy, Jez, Ronan and David Glasser, and brought to life by the powerhouse performances of Tom, Pierce, and Helen. We are elated to greenlight a second season of this global phenomenon, which has dominated both domestic and international charts and soared to No. 1 in the U.K.’
The series stars Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, a fixer for a British crime family. Pierce Brosnan plays the patriarch Conrad Harrigan, and Helen Mirren is Maeve Harrigan. Rounding out the Harrigan family is Conrad and Maeve’s son, Kevin, played by Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon).
If the stacked cast wasn’t eye-catching enough, MobLand has had episodes directed by Guy Ritchie (Wrath of Man, The Gentlemen) and written by Jez Butterworth (Ford v. Ferrari, The Ferryman).
The penultimate episode of season one hinted that Eddie (Anson Boon) might be Kevin’s “other brother,” as mentioned by Maeve. Conrad greeting him with, “Morning son, let’s have a little chat,” also fuels this theory.
Then, Conrad and Harry prepare to meet with Jaime Lopez (Jordi Molla) to have the Harrigans enter the fentanyl business. The three men, along with Seraphina (Mandeep Dhillon) and Paul (Emmett J. Scanlan), meet at a pub to discuss the deal. Jaime eventually calls Harry to accept the terms, but only if he deals with the rat on his team.
Things end with a tense dinner, and Harry catches undercover cop Alice/Nicola (Emily Barber) gathering evidence. Conrad and Maeve have an altercation that would have turned violent, had the cops not barged in and arrested them both for suspected murder. Episode 8 ended with the deaths of Ivan Fisk (Luke Mably) and Yvonne Mukasa (Gemma Knight Jones), which retired Deputy Chief Inspector Colin Tattersall (Toby Jones) is investigating.
Before fans see how things play out for Harry and the Harrigans in the finale, here’s everything we know about season two of MobLand right now.

Paramount
Hardy seems hopeful that MobLand will continue for at least a few more seasons.
“The plan is definitely to see more seasons,” Hardy told The Hollywood Reporter in April. “The question is: Does it become international? There are international elements to organised crime, which are touched on in season one and the control of drugs and ammunition and weapons and people and all kinds of things that go through Europe and from Africa through to South America, Pakistan and the variable commodities that move around Europe.”
“There are families that are involved in each European country that are vying for power to have that status to be able to move these kind of commodities through and who polices that and how that fits into a world stage,” he added.
Who will be in the MobLand Season 2 cast?

Paramount
MobLand’s producer David Glasser also gave some insight into a second season during an interview with Deadline in March. “Yes, there will be,” he said. “Same team, same everybody. Everybody’s coming back. One big family.”
When will MobLand Season 2 come out?

Paramount
There isn’t an official release date for MobLand season 2 yet. Season one began production in November 2024 and wrapped in March 2025, as a few other cast members joined to film in London during that time. According to MovieWeb, the season was finished only four days before it began airing on Parmount+.
It’s likely that season 2 will follow a similar timeline, but with some of the production bumps ideally smoothed out. Hopefully, fans won’t have to wait too long though to watch more episodes of the fascinating mob drama.
