‘The Beast In Me’ Season 2? Renewal Status Revealed for Netflix TV Show
The Beast in Me is currently the No. 1 show on Netflix!
Here’s a synopsis: “Grief-stricken and desperate for purpose, Aggie Wiggs (Claire Danes) becomes entangled with Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys) — a man once accused of murder. Obsession turns toxic. Danger creeps closer. The Beast in Me is a dark and twisting new series that asks: When you chase a monster, what do you become?”
The show has steadily climbed all the way to the top of the Top 10 on the streamer, leaving fans wondering if there will be more than just one season.
The Beast in Me has not yet been renewed for Season 2 at Netflix, and it has not been cancelled.
The show was billed as a limited series, but showrunner Howard Gordon recently spoke out about the possibility of going on for another season.
“We’ll see how the show does. I would say if there’s a story, we would be open to it,” he said to People.
“As long as Aggie is still roaming the planet and is a writer, I think there probably is a story there,” he added in an interview with TV Insider.
“I would say anything is possible. And really, I think everybody had such a blast doing this show,” he continued. “We had such a good time doing it that I think if Netflix wanted it and if, and this is a big if, we came up with a story that really made it worth doing, we’d all be open to doing it again or some version.”
He also told The Wrap, he’d want to explore Aggie’s relationship with her father.
“I think that to the extent that Aggie is a writer who has been delivered to this next stage of her life, whatever that stage is. If there is a story, there might be more. I am tempted by the character of her grifter father in some way. We’ll see how the show does and if an idea comes. But I think they’d be open to more.”
