Lady Gaga’s New Song “Dead Dance” Will Be In Wednesday Season 2 (And Fans Can Look Forward To A Video, Too)

Variety reported that Lady Gaga has recorded a new song for Wednesday season 2. Fans will hear the tune, “Dead Dance,” when they watch the new episodes, and both the song and a music video will be released in September 2025.

During a March 2025 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jenna Ortega praised Lady Gaga’s talent and described how cool and thrilling it was to have the massive star on the Wednesday season 2 Ireland set. Given Lady Gaga’s musical talents and memorable sense of style, there’s no doubt that her appearance will be unforgettable and mysterious.
Recently, Wednesday executive producer and director Tim Burton spoke to Variety about Lady Gaga’s time on the series. He said:
“She’s such an artist and so for me, working with an artist is inspirational. But I felt that way about Joanna and Steve, who I’ve worked with before. These people come on this set, you see the whole crew kind of light up. It’s a beautiful thing to witness.”

Besides co-starring with Bradley Cooper in the remake of A Star Is Born), Lady Gaga’s most memorable role was playing a vampire named The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel. The singer also made headlines when she did a dance inspired by Wednesday on TikTok. Since she was clearly a fan of the show and of Ortega, it was great news when viewers learned that she would play a guest role in the second season. The trailer also teases a second dance scene, and fans can’t wait to see what moves Wednesday has this time around.
Lady Gaga isn’t the only thrilling new addition to the hit show. Haley Joel Osment, known for his childhood acting career that kicked off with his turn as Cole Sear in The Sixth Sense, is playing a villain called The Kansas City Scalper. Steve Buscemi is also starring as Wednesday’s new principal.
Wednesday season 2 will be released in two parts, with the first arriving on Netflix on August 6th, 2025. The second batch of episodes will be available on September 3rd, 2025.
