Now on Netflix: Black Rabbit is about to go darker, deadlier, and more addictive than ever 👀🔥
What started as a gritty New York crime story is spiraling into a high-stakes war — with betrayals, blood feuds, and shocking secrets that will push these brothers past the point of no return…

Jake steps up to help Vince. To stay alive, they resort to increasingly desperate measures to pay back Mancuso. This includes burning down their house, embezzling money, and robbing Jake’s restaurant. Ultimately, Vince takes all the blame and dies by suicide. It’s tragic, as suicide is never the answer. However, they do handle Vince’s heavy ending tactfully.
Because of the gritty style and impressive acting, critics have lauded Black Rabbit, and many fans have enjoyed it as well. While Black Rabbit season 2 isn’t confirmed, there is still a chance it could happen.
Black Rabbit Season 2 Latest News

Although Black Rabbit was promoted as a limited series, the creators, Kate Susman and Zach Baylin, haven’t written off the possibility of a second season. When speaking with The Wrap, Susman explained that they were keeping their options open. She said:
“As soon as we got on set and realized what we had with the crew and what we had been able to put together with the cast and the producing team, everyone was kind of like, ‘Why are we ending this? This is a good thing we got going here.’ There are so many storylines I still want to follow.”
This statement offers hope to fans who would like to see more of the story, even though the ending feels pretty conclusive for Jake.
Black Rabbit Season 2’s Renewal Not Confirmed

Netflix’s Black Rabbit jumped to number 1 on the streaming site’s TV charts, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the story will get a second season. Black Rabbit was created and advertised as a limited series, and season 2 isn’t confirmed. However, not all hope is lost.
Streaming sites occasionally offer more seasons for miniseries, such as the Netflix shows 13 Reasons Why and The Watcher. As such, it’s still possible that Black Rabbit‘s story could continue. Additionally, both the creators and some of the actors seem open to making Black Rabbit season 2. Susman and Baylin were open to the possibility when speaking with The Wrap.
Black Rabbit Season 2 Cast

Based on the ending of Black Rabbit season 1, Jason Bateman’s Vince and Sope Dirisu’s Wes won’t return as they’re dead. Only one character is guaranteed to return if Black Rabbit season 2 happens: Jude Law’s Jake Friedken. It would make no sense for the story to continue without him.
However, it’s also possible that Troy Kotsur’s Joe Mancuso would return in the second season, even though he and Jake seem to be fine at the end. He’s still a mob boss with some kind of history with the Friedken family.
Other characters who could return are Cleopatra Coleman’s Estelle, Amaka Okafor’s Roxie, and Dagmara Dominczyk’s Val. Given that these Black Rabbit characters all had a close relationship with Jake, it seems logical that they would come back around. It would also be nice to see Jake showing up for Odessa Young’s Gen after the death of her father, Jake.
Black Rabbit Season 2’s Possible Story

Jake’s new role as a bartender raises questions about what happened to the Black Rabbit and the second restaurant he intended to open. The second season could pull him back into that world against his will. Roxie seems more than capable of handling things, but Jake did mention that they were barely getting by monetarily.
Actor Abbey Lee, who played Anna, is convinced that Jake is going to hit rock bottom after the end of the show. She said this to Us Weekly:
“He’ll probably go into a deep pit of his s*** and then crawl his way out — and I think that he’ll come out. He’s got enough love in his life, and I think that the guilt will probably get him out.“
It’s possible Jake’s mourning about Vince isn’t really as finished as it seems.
What’s more, Black Rabbit largely overlooked the most interesting character of the entire show, Mancuso. When discussing possible directions for a second season, Susman told The Wrap, “I want to know what happens with Mancuso!”
The second season could further explore the mob boss and his control over New York City. It would be interesting to see them flesh out that character and get into his backstory. We could even see Jake having to work with or against Mancuso again. Mancuso might have spared Jake’s life, but Jake isn’t really the saint that he pretends to be in Black Rabbit.
