The Canadian TV masterpiece, Sullivan’s Crossing, is my newest safe space, and I would like to request at least 20 more seasons for the sake of my mental health. The Virgin River-esque CTV show follows neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) who returns to her hometown in Nova Scotia after her career gets… complicated. Of course, she meets a “mysterious” and beautiful man there named Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray), so there’s a romance in addition to small town drama. In an October 2023 interview with Parade, the One Tree Hill king called Sullivan’s Crossing a “place you go to heal,” and I couldn’t agree more. (Or at least a place to forget about the real world and dissociate…)
“What’s so beautiful about this show and why people, I believe, will just want more and more of it is because it’s slowing things down,” he said at the time. “We all work so hard that we don’t ever live. I think in this show there’s a lot more living than there is work.” Real. I’m almost inspired to quit my job and dedicate even more of my life to this show.
Season 3 hit Netflix in August 2025 and the fans are already desperate to know: Will there be a season 4 of Sullivan’s Crossing? If so, when? Here’s everything we know so far.
Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4: Release Date, Cast, Plot
Will There Be A Season 4 Of Sullivan’s Crossing?

Yes! In June 2025, CTV confirmed that the series has been renewed for a fourth season, thank god. The season 4 premiere date hasn’t been announced yet, but season 3 came out about a year after season 2. (The latest season premiered on CTV and The CW in May 2025, a few months before coming to Netflix.) Hopefully, that means we can expect the fourth season by spring 2026!
Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4 Plot
Well, there’s certainly a lot that needs to be addressed after that stressful season 3 finale. There’s serious marriage-related tension between Sydney and Rafe (will they break up??) and Sully’s off to Ireland with Helen. How is that town gonna survive without him? And clearly, we need to know more about Maggie’s secret husband, Liam, and how that’s gonna impact her relationship with Cal.
In a July interview with Collider, showrunner Robyn Carr confirmed that that “big shoe drop” is a setup for season 4 storylines. “There’s never a dull moment at Sullivan’s Crossing,” she teased. “A romance drama series needs to have push and pull between your characters.” So true.

No word on new cast members yet, but it seems like we can expect the iconic series regulars to return. Of course, Morgan Kohan will return to play Maggie Sullivan, Chad Michael Murray will be back as Cal Jones, and Scott Patterson will reprise the role of Sully Sullivan. I’m making an educated guess that the season 4 cast will also include: Lindura as Sydney Shandon, Dakota Taylor as Rafe Vadas, Reid Price as Rob Shandon, Tom Jackson as Frank Cranebear, Andrea Menard as Edna Cranebear, and Allan Hawco as Andrew Mathews.
