Rest in peace. Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, has reportedly died at age 70.
According to Starcom Network News, a radio station from Rihanna’s native Barbados, Fenty passed away in Los Angeles on the morning of Saturday, May 31.
A cause of death has not yet been reported, nor has Rihanna publicly commented on the tragic news.

Sources told the radio station that Fenty’s loved ones have gathered in California to commemorate his life.
In a photo obtained by TMZ, Rihanna’s brother Rajad Fenty was spotted arriving at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Wednesday, May 28.
A representative for Rihanna did not immediately respond to Parade’s request for comment.
The sad news comes amid Rihanna’s pregnancy with baby No. 3. The Fenty Beauty mogul, 37, shares sons RZA and Riot with her longtime partner, A$AP Rocky. Rihanna revealed her pregnancy at the Met Gala in New York City earlier this month. “I feel a lot better that I don’t have to suck my stomach in anymore,” the global superstar joked to Access Hollywood at the time.
“Rihanna has always wanted a big family, so she couldn’t be more excited. Rihanna and Rocky are thrilled to be growing their family and they can’t wait to give their boys another sibling,” a source toldPeople following the joyous news.
“They wanted to have their children close together in age, so that they could grow up together and share a close bond,” the source continued. “They feel so blessed and are so grateful for this next chapter in their lives. It’s a very special time.”
Rihanna and A$AP, 36, have yet to announce the sex of their third child.
