A netizen brought up this interview of Blake Lively discussing her involvement in Justin Baldoni’s It Ends With Us following her lawsuit against the director.
Blake Lively revealed in an old interview how she was heavily involved in the production of It Ends With Us.
A fan re-shared this interview following the actress’ alleged claim that she was just an actor with no power.
Lively notably sued Baldoni for allegations of misconduct and inappropriate comments on her body on the movie set.
The tension between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni keeps getting more heated as their court battle progresses. Both parties have been in dispute since the release of their collaboration film, It Ends With Us, where they both starred in. The actress’ camp is suing Baldoni, who served as the movie’s director, for accusations of s*xual harassment and creating a hostile environment on set.

Now, as both stars get embroiled in the same issue, more and more pieces of evidence and statements resurface online, just like this earlier interview with Lively admitting that she was truly involved in the production.
Old interview of Blake Lively proves her influence and control on set of It Ends With Us
Following Blake Lively’s shocking 80-page lawsuit against former co-star and director Justin Baldoni for misconduct on the set of It Ends With Us, a video shared by Sky News at the London red carpet premiere of the film suggested that the actress was heavily involved in the making of Colleen Hoover’s book adaptation.
Dressed in an elegant floral ensemble, Lively stated that she’s not the type of actor who would act without producing. “You can’t just put me in any clothes and give me any words and have me step in and transform, and I used to be very insecure about that,” she remarked.
Later in the interview, she admitted to feeling like an imposter before as she watched actors who could easily transform themselves on set like shapeshifters, but then she realized that the people she admired the most were filmmakers or storytellers who are hands-on when it comes to writing and creating. She believes she belongs in the latter category, and she’s proud to embrace that.

A user from Twitter shared this video on the platform and suggested that Lively might seem to think that the public would ignore her old statements about the magnitude of her influence on the project as she claimed to be just “an actor with no power or control” on her lawsuit.
Baldoni has previously exposed an alleged text conversation between him and the actress and how she was pretty much in charge of her character’s wardrobe on the set. In the same exchange, he also revealed that Lively reportedly permitted him to enter her trailer to rehearse while she was pumping milk.

Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni was viewed by US Weekly, with the outlet sharing in an article that the director allegedly “appeared focused on [Lively’s] s*xual appeal above all else,” which was not the goal of her movie character.
In the same document, Baldoni reportedly called the Gossip Girl star “hot” and “s*xy”, which he firmly denied in his own statement. His lawyer, Bryan Freedman, mentioned in a response that Lively’s allegations were “completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious.”
The controversy between the former co-stars continues to worsen as days go by, and it does not seem like a matter that will be settled instantaneously.
It Ends With Us is currently available to watch on Netflix.
