XO, Kitty’s Anna Cathcart is giving her thanks to all the costars she’s loved before, revealing to E! News at the Feb. 23 SAG Awards how Noah Centineo and Lana Condor gave her romantic life a boost.
TBH, even love experts need a little boost at times.
Because while XO, Kitty‘s Anna Cathcart plays a matchmaker quite adeptly on the Netflix drama, sometimes she needs a bit of help determining when a person is meant for her.
Enter: Her To All the Boys castmates Lana Condor and Noah Centineo.
The duo “would give me boy advice way back in the day,” Cathcart recalled to E! News’ Erin Lim at the 2025 Screen Guild Actors Awards. “This is, like, 15-, 16-year-old Anna freaking out about someone Snapchatting her. They would be there to listen and help.” (See all the stars on the red carpet here.)
And, dear diary, she even has a memento of one of those romance bootcamps.
“I have a photo of it that my mom took because she thought it was so funny,” Cathcart continued. “We’re sitting on the floor. They’re both lying down, listening super intently. I’m like, ‘What if it means this?'”
Added the 21-year-old, “I love them so much for that, honestly.”
Though, she’d love it even more if they could book another session. “I mean, I don’t have a date tonight,” the star said of flying solo at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall near downtown Los Angeles, “so I think they need to get back on helping me and give me more advice, because we have some work to do.”
While she was keeping her eyes peeled for Centineo at the show, she wasn’t not focused on scanning the crowd for a potential love interest.
“I’ll casually just mingle—extra mingle tonight, see what happen,” she joked. And while she wasn’t expecting to make a match in between categories, “You never know,” she added. “There’s a lot of cool people I admire here, for sure.”
She was certainly in the right headspace for romance, having prepped for the carpet by listening to a meditation on the Headspace app during the drive over.
“I get very anxious for these events,” Cathcart admitted. “So I was trying to, like, calm down and breathe through it.”
That’s the same advice she might give XO, Kitty fans who crafted an entire theory about the existence of a secret episode after an unaired scene made its way through TikTok.
“I’m so sorry to break it to everybody that was, it’s just not happening,” Cathcart confirmed. “It’s just not a thing. You have to wait for season three. It’s on its way.”
