Reba’s boyfriend was there too!
Some people use Halloween as an excuse to get dolled up, opting for cute or sexy ensembles. Others, however, lean into the spooky mischief of the holiday. This year, Kelly Clarkson went with the latter.
The 42-year-old singer stunned viewers when she stepped onstage dressed as Beetlejuice. Kelly didn’t merely show up to work in a black-and-white blouse, though. Instead, she brought her costume A-game to The Kelly Clarkson Show, rocking face and body paint, a green wig, and a disheveled Beetlejuice suit that left her unrecognizable.
Kelly wasn’t alone in her Halloween antics, either. She was joined onstage by Reba McEntire and Rex Linn, both of whom were dressed as Beetlejuice characters. Where Reba embodied Catherine O’Hara from her iconic “Banana Boat” scene, Rex paid homage to Danny DeVito’s afterlife janitor cameo character.
A trio of Tim Burton characters? An absolute hit with fans.
“Well, this was a surprise to see bright and early in the morning. Love it,” one Instagram user exclaimed. “Kelly never disappoints with her Halloween costumes,” someone else commented. “Looove. Reba as Delia and you as Beetlejuice is perfect,” another fan chimed in.
Meanwhile, Reba was a little less enamored with the costumes. While she had fun getting dressed up, she admitted that there was no way she’d kiss Rex looking like that. When he asked her to “gimme a kiss” on the show, she simply smiled and answered, “No…never will.”
Kelly, on the other hand, is all for elaborate costumes. Over the years, she’s dressed as a Ghostbuster, a vampire, Winifred Sanderson, Stevie Nicks, and Meryl Streep‘s Madeline Ashton from Death Becomes Her. We already can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for 2025.
