Despite the rumours circulating over the weekend, Lady Gaga will not be appearing in the upcoming seventh season of American Horror Story.
The singer-turned-actress made her debut in season five of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series as the vampiric Countess, a role which earned her a Golden Globe, and then returned briefly to play the witchy woodswoman in Roanoke (the sixth season).
It’s likely that scheduling difficulties could be the main reason as Lady Gaga is set to appear in the remake of A Star Is Born alongside Bradley Cooper, with filming currently underway for both projects.
American Horror Story fans still have plenty to look forward to however with Ryan Murphy revealing a sketch for one of season 7’s monsters via his Instagram this weekend: Yep. Pretty terrifying.
Season seven will star Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Colton Haynes, and Adina Porter. It will premiere in the autumn on FX and Netflix over this side of the pond.
