Predictions for the next season of Virgin River are already coming thick and fast, with some viewers speculating a wild outcome for Mel and Jack’s first year of marriage.

Virgin River fans are convinced Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) could end up with a huge family by the end of the series.

The hit Netflix drama follows Mel, a nurse practitioner who moves to the small Northern California town following a devastating loss but soon finds new love.

Having fallen for former Marine and bar owner Jack, the pair finally tied the knot at the end of season six, which released on the streaming platform earlier this month.

Despite their marital bliss, the season also ended on some shocking revelations leading into the next installment, namely the disappearance of new mom of twins, Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley).

Jack is shocked by what he discovers at her place in the final seconds of the season six finale. Meanwhile, Mel is stunned herself when Marley (Rachel Drance) says she wants her and Jack to take care of her baby.

That makes three potential children Virgin River’s most beloved couple could have to take care of soon, but some viewers think there could be even more on the horizon.

And another theory outlined a detailed prediction for the outcome of the whole series with some compelling evidence.

“My prediction is that they’re basically setting them up to get all the babies they thought they were going to get two seasons ago,” one eagle-eyed Virgin River fan explained.

“I think Charmaine is toast and those boys are going to Jack and Mel as they thought was going to happen before he found out he wasn’t the father.

“Then I’m guessing the woman who wants to give Mel and Jack her baby is pregnant with a girl… Which will be a stand in for the one Mel lost. Like I literally think her baby will be born on Mel’s original due date.”

Throwing in one final possible bombshell, they added: “The only thing I’m not sure sure about is if Mel will also become pregnant again and they end up with four kids.”

Another fan had the same idea, commenting: “They will have Marley’s baby, Charmaine’s two babies and Mel will get surprised with her own pregnancy. Side note: Jack’s sister [Brie (Zibby Allen)] will be pregnant with Brady’s (Benjamin Hollingsworth) baby.”

While one last fan also thinks Mel and Jack will end up with a fourth child, though through a very different route.

“Here I am thinking she’s getting Lizzie’s (Sarah Dugdale) baby,” they predicted.

Though another viewer replied: “I think Hope (Annette O’Toole) & Doc (Tim Matheson) will help out there, even with their other drama.”

Mel and Jack’s adventures will continue for at least one more season, but could there be parental antics in the pipeline for season eight and beyond?
