dam Brody and Kristen Bell have captured the hearts of Netflix viewers worldwide in their charming new romcom, Nobody Wants This. But after binge-watching all ten episodes, the question clearly on everyone’s minds: Is Nobody Wants This returning for a season two?

The short answer: Yes! Shortly after the comedy captured the hearts of audiences, Netflix announced last October that they would be bringing the series back for a second outing. Here’s what we know so far about Nobody Wants This season two.

There’s going to be a Gossip Girl reunion.

While few announcements have been made about the season 2 cast so far, we do know that most of the characters from season 1 will be returning, along with at least one face that will be familiar to many fans.

In February, Netflix announced that Leighton Meester will have a guest starring role on the new season. Set to play Abby, “Joanne’s nemesis from middle school who is now an Instagram mommy influencer,” Meester’s casting is a fun behind-the-scenes nod to both Brody and Bell, as she not only starred in the original Gossip Girl TV series for which Bell voiced the titular tattler, she’s also Brody’s real life wife of over a decade.

Also announced for season two is Miles Fowler, who will play Lenny, a basketball teammate of Noah’s with gets set up on a date with Joanne’s sister Morgan.

A new team will take over as showrunners for season 2

While Foster helmed the first season of the show, a new duo will be stepping in for the show’s second outing. Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who are known for their work on the HBO hit Girls will executive produce and showrun on season 2.

“Creating Nobody Wants This will forever be a career highlight for me,” Foster said in a statement when the change-up was announced. “The incredible cast, crew, producers, and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed. I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story, and to do it alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I’ve been such a fan of since Girls… Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic.”

When will season 2 debut?

So far, no official announcements have been made about an air date for the show’s second season.
