The country star got nostalgic ahead of the holidays.
Reba McEntire is throwing back to the good old days!
The country star recently shared a sweet photo from her youth that is pulling at her fans’ heartstrings just days after she shared a serious warning with them.
On Nov. 26, the “I’m a Survivor” singer took to Instagram to get into the Thanksgiving spirit, posting a photo of herself cooking in the kitchen with her mother, Jacqueline McEntire.
“The holidays are just a little sweeter when you spend them in the kitchen with family,” McEntire captioned the photo. She continued, noting that two of her favorite recipes for “Cowboy Chili and Salted Chocolate Chip Shortbread cookies” can be found in her cookbook, Not That Fancy.
In 2018, McEntire took to Facebook to share a touching tribute to her mother, who died of cancer in March 2020, on Teacher Appreciation Day.
Earlier this month, the “You Lie” singer issued a strong warning to her fans about keeping their wits about them on the internet. She suggested that scammers were reaching out to some of her followers, impersonating her and offering a chance to meet her if fans paid via gift cards or electronic transfers.
“I and my team will NEVER correspond with you from a direct message or cell phone number asking you for money in order to meet me,” she wrote on Nov. 17.
McEntire continued, saying, “PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF ONLINE and do not give out any personal information, purchase gift cards or send money electronically to someone you do not know.”
