Adam Levine has reportedly been given a warning about his behaviour ahead of returning to The Voice.
The Maroon 5 singer is returning to the NBC show after leaving in 2019 following 16 series.
He will be coaching again next year for season 27 alongside John Legend, Michael Bublé and Kelsea Ballerini.
While fans will be pleased to see the 45-year-old back on their screens, it is claimed that some employees are ‘concerned’ about his behaviour.
The Daily Mail alleges some staff members remember him as ‘cocky’ during his first run, and are worried he’ll be the same again.
‘Not everyone is happy with Adam coming back to the show,’ a source told the publication.
Adam left the show in 2019
‘There have been many changes behind-the-scenes, but there are a lot of people still there from Adam’s time before and don’t like that he will be returning, because, towards the end of his last run, he was cocky, arrogant and seemed entitled.
‘People get second chances, and maybe Adam will change. But if he remains the abrasive Adam from the past, then they will get rid of him again.’
Adam is the second-longest serving judge, behind Blake Shelton. It is claimed the producers’ decision to bring Adam back is partly fueled by their desire to also see Blake, 47, back on the show.

‘The dynamic that Adam and Blake had was TV gold, and the show would love to have that back again in the future,’ the insider said.
As an original judge, Adam was in the red seat in the 2011 inaugural season. He managed to get a hat-trick of wins under his belt from departing – Javier Colon, Tessanne Chin, and Jordan Smith.
When exiting in the programme six years ago, he wrote: ‘Thank you NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life.’
An excited Adam announced his return to the show on Instagram.
Adam ‘can’t wait’ to be back
‘The OG is back in the building! I’M COMING BACK to #TheVoice next Spring 2025 🎤🎸✌️ Can’t wait!’ Adam told fans, with the post reaching nearly 100k likes.
In the singing competition’s first rounds, the judges face away from the performer. They only get to see their appearance once already committed to wanting them in their ‘team’. The concept means that the singers are judged purely on their voice.
Behati and Adam married in 2014
Since leaving the show, Adam’s marriage to Behati Prinsloo was thrown into the spotlight when Instagram model Sumner Stroh shared a video on TikTok in 2022, alleging that she had an affair with Adam.
The dad-of-three addressed the accusations in a statement on social media shortly after, insisting that he did not have an affair.
‘I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner,’ he wrote.
‘I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life.’
