Katy Perry’s stepson has a few hidden talents.

Speaking with Audacy about how she made her new album 143, Perry was asked if she ever goes to her own family for feedback throughout the process. Though she admitted that she doesn’t play them the album in full, the “Woman’s World” singer said there is someone she can turn to in her family.

Perry, 39, shares her daughter Daisy Dove, 4, with partner Orlando Bloom, while Bloom shares son Flynn, 13, with ex Miranda Kerr.

“They’ve had enough of me. I mean, they’re fine, but like…my family, they’re telling me to move or take the trash out,” Perry jokes. “They’re sick of it. It’s family, they’re just going to be real. I don’t do a listening party.”

While she doesn’t devote time to a dedicated album listen, Perry says Bloom’s son Flynn has been helpful throughout the process.

“I’ll play things to Orlando’s son, who’s 13, and he has a really good ear,” Perry shares. “He’s probably the best person out of my whole family.”

Perry says Flynn hasn’t ever told her to completely scratch a song and notes that there are a few tracks he’s been really into.

“He loved ‘Never Really Over,’ ” she remembers of her 2019 song. “I played that to him before it came out and I was like, ‘What do you think?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, this is good.’ He’s got good taste. He loves this song called ‘All the Love,’ which is on 143. And that’s like one of my favorite songs that I wrote.”

Flynn isn’t the only fan of Perry’s music — in July, the musician appeared on BBC’s The One Show and shared that her daughter has started singing one of her songs that has an obvious innuendo.

“She actually just started singing ‘Roar.’ On the flip side, she’s also singing ‘Peacock,’ and now I know what every parent went through in 2008,” Perry said. “And I’m sorry!”
