“All art is political.” Let’s take a step back and examine that statement. Why does Left always parrot this phrase? Why can’t anyone else have their own interpretations? Why can’t the woke just appreciate art?

The woke is nothing more than a reaction to the failed promises of liberalism. It’s a manifestation of a brittle belief system lashing out because it is worried about being called out as hollow–which it is. It has no more teleological promises it can offer.

Previously, the Left could proclaim diversity, sexual liberation, and material prosperity as the justification behind their beliefs. Now, as things get worse, all they shout is “You’re a bigot!”. They don’t have a justification for their power or a transcendental belief.

It’s all just worship of power now. They have it and deserve it because everyone they hate is evil. Anything else is post-hoc rationalization that fails cursory scrutiny. What is racism when everyone in history was black? What is the patriarchy if men and women are the same?

And this collapse of teleology, this collapse of the transcendental belief in the utopia, means the Left have to resort to increasingly naked uses of power to maintain their rule. This extends to culture. Anything not for them is against them because it could expose them.

This is why the Left hate the past and need the whole of history to be abject misery. Because if things were indeed better, that directly condemns them for their own blatant abuses of power. And further, it condemns their belief system.

But the Left have degenerated to the point where they can’t conceive of anything beyond the friend/enemy distinction. That’s their whole existence and belief system. They’re just agents of power, willing to do or say anything which keeps them in rule. Everything else is fake.

The Left have no notion of God, of the transcendent, of any higher purpose that does not immediately serve their material desires and that of their client classes. They literally cannot conceive of art as beyond the political because they have lost that higher functioning.

Why is that the Left obsess over controlling culture? Why is it that they were so enraged over a slightly different interpretation of Starship Troopers? Because it didn’t pass the friend/enemy distinction and thus had to be destroyed.

And you can see this with everything they create. Why do we need top surgery in a fantasy game? Because there’s no higher force guiding the Left than their own self-congratulation. This is art because it reaffirms them. Meanwhile everything not in this box is “problematic”.

Everything must be twisted to serve the carnal needs of the Left. There no longer is anything “apolitical”. It’s either for or against, an all consuming Leviathan. In other words, it’s a culture war, and there’s no going to be sitting on the fence for this one.
