Curiously, despite its strong inclusivity and LGBTQ+ representation, Agatha All Along did not face the same backlash that The Acolyte—a Star Wars series featuring a coven of lesbian space witches—received.

According to the show’s IMDb page, Samantha J. McDonald is credited as the intimacy coordinator for Episodes 6 and 8. An intimacy coordinator oversees scenes involving physical intimacy, like sexual content or nudity, ensuring actors’ safety, comfort, and consent while helping directors maintain their creative vision.

While the specifics of Episodes 6 and 8 remain unknown, the presence of an intimacy coordinator hints at some steamy scenes—likely between Rio Vidal and Agatha Harkness. These may be flashbacks exploring their past relationship, but still…

Although the MCU has featured LGBTQ+ relationships before, this would mark the first time something explicitly intimate is shown on screen. If that happens, it could certainly spark a backlash from anti-woke audiences.
