Black Ops 6 has landed in more hot controversy after players have called recent weapon skins “pay to lose”.

Call of Duty weapon skins, called Blueprints in the game, are either sold on the in-game store or come as part of a Battle Pass.

Since you’re paying real money for these skins, players expect the best quality possible to make it worth dropping cash on.

Unfortunately for them, one item released in a recent bundle is causing some issues, with some players calling the blueprint “pay to lose”.

Released as part of the Dark Practitioner Mastercraft Bundle Tracer Pack, the Occult blueprint for the PP-919 in Black Ops 6 is currently under fire for an iron sight that blocks your aim.

As shown in a post below on the Black Ops 6 subreddit, user RainyVIIs displays what the iron sights on the PP-919 look like while using the Occult blueprint.

Looking at the skin, it’s clear that the product wasn’t meant to be released like this. Part of the blueprint’s unique animations completely obscures the player’s vision just above the iron sight, which is an area you’d ideally want to keep clear to see enemies. In motion, these animations also appear to move unpredictably, making the gun very difficult to adjust to.

“There’s no way in hell a human being made that blueprint and tested it and thought it’ll be alright in that state,” wrote one user.

“I tried the blueprint out in-game and I was disgusted,” wrote another.

A third wrote: “Might as well be pay to lose”.

This isn’t the first time this has happened either, as earlier this month players also had a similar experience with a blueprint for the Saug.

The flame effect from the Salutations blueprint on the Saug creates a flame effect that comes up from the gun into the player’s view right above their iron sight. This makes it hard for them to aim correctly.

This blueprint is available from the BlackCell battle pass, which recently also had some controversy attached to it with its high price point and loyalty bonus scheme.
