Last week’s episode of ‘The Penguin’ left viewers hanging. We know that Sofia Gigante has teamed up with Salvatore Maroni, and they both want to get rid of Oz Cobb for both personal and business reasons.

In most of episode 6, Sofia and Salvatore search hard for any weakness in Oz by going through his past. Sofia realizes that Oz’s biggest strength is that he doesn’t seem to care about anyone.

His brothers are gone, and Oz has tricked everyone into thinking his mother is also dead. After talking to Oz’s friend Eve, Sofia finds out that Oz is actually hiding in Crown Point.

The episode ends with a scene of Vic and Francis, Oz’s mother, dancing in an old, rundown apartment. Meanwhile, Sofia sneaks up on them, ready to attack with a crowbar.

Sofia could easily kill both of them, especially if she surprises them. We know she can be very violent; if she wasn’t The Hangman before, she definitely is now after spending ten years in Arkham Asylum.

FandomWire shared an interesting idea about how Vic might survive what Sofia plans to do to him, and there are two possible solutions to this cliffhanger:

Mrs. Cobb Confronts Sofia: Mrs. Cobb might snap out of her mental fog and directly confront Sofia about her weaknesses, just like she did with Oswald. This could really upset Sofia, pushing her to either shoot Mrs. Cobb or give her too much Bliss, which is a drug in the show, to silence her.

Sofia Sees a Reflection of Herself in Mrs. Cobb: Mrs. Cobb’s mental decline could help Sofia see that she’s becoming like her father. This realization might lead her to choose a different path, which could save the people around her. In this case, Victor might survive because he accidentally saved her life, which could win her favor.

No matter what happens, it seems likely that Francis won’t make it through this encounter. We still need something significant to happen to Oz that will push him over the edge and make him retaliate fiercely against the Gigantes. This could set him on the path to taking control of Gotham’s criminal underworld.
