Chloë Grace Moretz Comes Out as a Lesbian in Bold and Heartfelt Social Media Post

And while her recent outings on the screen have been scarcer than, say, 5-10 years ago, former child star and now beloved actress Chloë Grace Moretz is still an important name in the industry and her fanbase is certainly a large one. Which is why we are reporting on her whenever we can.

The actress recently starred in the successful animated film Nimona, after having numerous successful outings in projects such as (500) Days of SummerKick-AssThe Amityville HorrorHugo, and The Addams Family. In 2016, she decided to reassess her career choices, and we can only praise her for her boldness in doing so. It seems that she has gotten a lot of new fans because of her authenticity!

A recent social media post might, in fact, gain her even more sympathy with the fans, as the actress officially confirmed that she is a lesbian, and we can only praise her boldness and the sincerity of her social media post!

As said, Chloë Grace Moretz has been out of the mainstream spotlight since 2016, but she is an important presence in the industry, and if you’ve been wondering what’s been going on with her, just check her filmography – she is still active!

The actress has always been secretive about her private life, and while we do know some details about her and her family, she recently decided to confirm something that is not easy to confirm, and we can only praise her boldness:

In case you’re unable to open the post, the full Instagram comments read as follows:

I voted early and I voted for Kamala Harris. There is so much on the line this election. I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor. Kamala Harris will protect that for us. I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman. We need protections in this country and to have access to the care we need and deserve. SO… Are you voting early? Let’s get a plan together to get to your polling place with your friends! We have bolded the important parts of her message (yes, she urged people to vote and expressed support for Kamala Harris, but that is not so important for this report), and we can only applaud her for her comments and for her coming out in such a way.

It takes a lot of courage to do so in a world such as this, so the actress doing it in such a way is definitely great, and we hope that she can inspire members of the LGBTQ+ community around the world to do the same!
