A major Coronation Street star is finally returning to the ITV soap months after an unexplained absence which left fans demanding answers.

Many will be over the moon to know that Gary Windass (Mikey North) will be back on the Cobbles next week.

Debt collector Gary was last on our screens in January when Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) died after he was stabbed by his brothers Matty (Harry Lowbridge) and Logan (Seamus McGoff).

But in a recent tweet shared by the show’s official X account, they have confirmed that Gary will be back.

The page shared a picture of Gary and Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) in the Bistro having a catch up.

They wrote on the post: ‘Next week: Carl makes a move on Abi, Maria fears Mick is bad news and Daisy says goodbye to Weatherfield.’

Over the last few weeks viewers have questioned where Gary has been, with one writing: ‘Where is Gary Windass? Really need his storyline in #Corrie.’

Elsewhere in Corrie news, Sam Blakeman actor Jude Riordan stunned fans with his transformation in a series of new professional headshots.

The actor, 13, has appeared in the ITV soap as Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Natasha Blakeman’s (Rachel Leskovac) son Sam Blakeman since October 2020.

Jude has been missing from our screens recently, and after he shared some pictures of what he looks like now on Instagram, fans couldn’t believe their eyes.

In the snaps, the soap star gave a very serious look into the camera and captioned the post: ‘HEADSHOTS 2025.’

Many rushed to the comments section to share how shocked they are at how grown up he looks.

One wrote: ‘Oh! You’re growing up so much Jude. I think we’ve lost our little Sam.’
