Without question, Star Wars is one of the most significant franchises of all time, and that is a fact. You’ve undoubtedly heard of the franchise and are familiar with a few of its characters, whether you’re a fan or not. It’s also one of the longest-running cinematic franchises of all time, and even though The Acolyte can be described as a failure for the franchise, Star Wars will be back.
This report will revisit The Acolyte, as you might have assumed, and one of its main characters, Qimir, a fascinating antagonist who served as Darth Plagueis’ apprentice prior to the future Emperor; in that aspect, Qimir was somewhat of a forerunner to Palpatine. Although Qimir did not have enough time to shine, he left an important mark on the show, and that is why we are going to talk about him in this article.
Namely, as it turns out, Qimir not only left a significant impact on the show and the franchise as a whole, but he also broke a very notorious and longstanding record in the franchise, beating some famous characters like Palpatine, Vader, and Count Dooku. What is that record? Keep reading to find out!
Okay, we know that The Acolyte is a divisive show and that the outcries related to the series have been enormous. But, even those who hated the show praised Qimir, and there is a good reason for that, as the show’s breakthrough villain offered the fans what they wanted to see, which is why many fans are sad because they won’t be able to see his story evolve properly in a second season.
But, despite that, Qimir has left a significant impact on the series, and while we are also talking about an emotional and narrative impact, he also broke an infamous record and is, in light of that, the most horrible Sith Lord in the series, surpassing even the likes of Darth Vader, Palpatine, and Count Dooku. So, what is that record?
As it turns out, Qimir’s massacre of the Jedi turned out to be the biggest on-screen Jedi slaughter by a single character. Of course, he doesn’t come close to Anakin’s (Vader’s) massacre of the Younglings in Episode III, but most of that happened off-screen as we did not see what Anakin did; we saw the consequences, but not the act itself.
Qimir, on the other hand, slaughtered the Jedi in front of everyone, so – in that aspect – he broke the record in that category and is now the “best” Sith as far as that aspect is concerned. Something to be proud of? Well… we’ll let you think about that one.
