Agatha All Along is the newest MCU project. In addition to looking at the magical and occult side of the MCU, it introduces a character who could be very important in the future: Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan.

For most of the show, Billy is called “the Teen” because his true identity is hidden by a sigil placed on him by Lilia Calderu.

Toward the end of the show, we discover that he is Wanda’s son and that he is already very powerful, even without much training. In the last two episodes, we also get to see his costume, which looks a lot like the one from the comics.

Wiccan’s costume in the show is unique because it combines features from both of his parents.

Daniel Selon, the costume designer, wanted to show Wiccan’s background through his costume by including details from both of his parents. He added a print of the Scarlet Witch’s costume on the outside of Wiccan’s cape and used Vision’s famous cape design on the inside. This choice represents that both of his parents will always be a part of him.

I wanted to represent his origins in his cape so we dimensionally printed the texture of the Scarlet Witch’s costume (from Dr. Strange) on the outside and printed Vision’s iconically graphic cape on the underside so that his parents would always be with him.

In addition to this heartfelt story about his origins and parents, sharp-eyed fans spotted another reference that hints at the X-Men.

Right now, the X-Men aren’t officially part of the MCU. They were only mentioned directly in this year’s Deadpool & Wolverine. However, the future looks promising as we’re waiting for news about the upcoming X-Men live-action reboot.

It’s unclear if Wiccan will be linked to the X-Men in the MCU.
