Disney and Marvel Cut one 18+ Disney Joke from the Original Script of 'Deadpool & Wolverine'

Believe it or not, we’re once again on the topic of Deadpool & Wolverine, despite the fact that the movie premiered months ago. Still, the film was a smash hit with the fans, and it earned more than one billion dollars at the box office, becoming the second-most lucrative film of the year, behind only Inside Out 2.

Still, even though we’ve covered most of the things related to the movie, new details and information keep emerging. You probably know about the many deleted scenes we have reported on in recent weeks, but now, we have something completely different but equally entertaining.

Namely, according to some online sources, a censored joke from the original script was just revealed. The joke was a stab at Disney and Mickey Mouse, but the company ordered its removal from the script, and it happened like that. If you want to know more details, keep reading our report.

The “online sources” we mentioned are Disney, as a version of the script was just released online and you can check out the whole thing here. While most of the script was left unchanged in the final movie, the fans have discovered a joke made by Deadpool that was ultimately removed from the final version of the script, most likely due to the fact that it was an 18+ reference to Mickey Mouse, something that Disney wanted to avoid:

The names here are coded, as you can see, and the exchange took place when Deadpool and Wolverine arrived at the hideout of the surviving Marvel heroes including Elektra, Blade, Gambit, and X-23. Here is the full dialogue:

We’ve bolded the joke in question, and you probably don’t remember it from the movie because it was not there. At what point was it removed… well, we don’t know, but it is clear that it was a bit too much for them and we can understand why, from their perspective. Mickey Mouse is a bigger brand than Deadpool, after all.

Be that as it may, we haven’t seen it on the screen, but we are sure that you can now imagine – thanks to the screenplay – how it would have played out!
