Disney's Live-Action 'Snow White' Faces Backlash Once Again Over Racher Zegler's Political Comments

Disney has been having a ton of fun adapting its beloved animated films into live-action films, as everyone is well aware. And while some of these, like The Jungle BookBeauty and the Beast, and The Lion King, ended up being huge hits, others were deemed failures that nobody, not even Disney, wants to discuss. Simultaneously, the corporation is moving forward with its live-action remakes of the same stories that we have previously seen, regardless of what the fans think.

The planned Snow White film, starring Rachel Zegler, is one of the more contentious versions. It has drawn criticism for a lot of things, including the main star’s casting, the spectacular effects, and the movie’s depiction of the Dwarves. As usual, there were also others who criticized the film for being purportedly woke.

Now, a new controversy appeared as Rachel Zegler caused a stir among the fans due to her most recent Twitter comments, which seemingly indicate that her working relationship with her co-star, Gal Gadot, has not been the best, and some fans don’t like it.

As we have reported earlier, Gal Gadot will appear in the movie as the main antagonist, while Rachel Zegler, who will be playing Snow White, appears to be banking heavily on the musical element of the film, which he will further develop (Zegler is no stranger to musicals); it’s unclear if Gadot will be singing as well. Concerning the soundtrack, it is anticipated that the movie will have a blend of hits like “Whistle While You Work” and numerous new compositions by the duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who are most recognized for their roles in Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman.

While the fan reaction to the movie remains an enigma due to all the controversies, which did prompt some changes in the final product, the controversies are not stopping and the most recent one was started by Zegler herself, as some fans believe that she is attacking / trolling / provoking her co-star, Gal Gadot, with the following tweet:

This tweet was published as par with Zegler’s comments on the recently released Snow White trailer, which we have already reported on. The full message started with “I love you all so much! thank you for the love and for 120m views on our trailer in just 24 hours! what a whirlwind. i am in the thick of rehearsals for romeo + juliet so i’m gonna get outta here. bye for now,” after which the out-of-the-blue Palestine-related comment came, and many fans believe that this was an unnecessary attack on Gadot:
