While speaking with The Guardian, actress Ella Purnell responded to the notion that she has become an unlikely scream queen. Surprisingly, she is not a fan of the genre and she’s the very opposite of the character she plays on screen.

I can’t do horror films. I don’t really love watching too much gore, or any supernatural things. I’m not even really a big sci-fi person. And I’m not a gamer. So I don’t know how any of this has happened!

Fans can understand her amusing frustration over how things have turned out for her, but looking at the bigger picture, it seems helpful in her career. With her newly released show from Sky Atlantic, it seems like she is meant to pursue this path with her “cute but literally insane” signature roles.
