The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3

Load up the Lincoln because Mickey Haller is back at long last. Netflix officially announces that Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer will return to the streaming service on Thursday, October 17. It’s been over a year since the last batch of episodes from Season 2 dropped, but fans now have their first look at Mickey Haller himself, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Neve Campbell’s Maggie — even though she’s now working in San Diego — and the rest of the cast. The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 will consist of 10 episodes, just like Seasons 1 and 2, but this time around the story arc is based on author Michael Connelly’s fifth novel, The Gods of Guilt (2013), which follows the misadventures of LA’s brash and charismatic defense attorney. And star Garcia-Rulfo can’t help but tease what Mickey is in for this time around. Garcia-Rulfo said in an interview with Tudum:

“This season is very exciting. We see Mickey struggling with so many things at the same time — with romance, with the wives, with the cases. You never expect what’s going to happen, who’s going to be bad and who’s going to be guilty.”

Along with Garcia-Rulfo and Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, YaYa DaCosta, Elliott Gould, Krista Warner, Fiona Rene and Devon Graye all reprise their beloved Lincoln Lawyer roles, while a handful of new names joining the cast’s ever-expanding roster in Season 3.

Fans already knew Mickey (Garcia-Rulfo) and Maggie (Campbell) were going to spend time together thanks to a sneak peek of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3, which dropped back in January. And co-showrunner Ted Humphrey promises that Maggie “continues to be on the personal axis of Mickey’s life.” Plus, Garcia-Rulfo gives fans a glimpse into Mickey’s state of mind now that Maggie is working in San Diego. The actor said in the same interview:

Even if she’s not there, [she’s] always in the back of his being. There’s always something about Maggie that’s there. When he meets new girls, I think he’s always feeling that he’s cheating on her.

In addition to the returning cast, Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer will feature four newcomers. Merrin Dungey will portray a young judge, Regina Turner, while Allyn Moriyon plays a one-time babysitter of Mickey’s daughter, who has returned to Haller’s life in need of a good lawyer. John Pirruccello steps in as a new prosecutor, and Philip Anthony-Rodriguez takes on the part of Chief Deputy DA.

Fans who have been anxiously waiting since The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 was officially announced way back in the summer of 2023 have something else to look forward to when the show returns this October. Mickey Haller’s original ride, his “beachy” convertible Volkswagen and his 1963 powder-blue Lincoln Continental will both make appearances.

And Garcia-Rulfo praised his mechanical co-star, the ’63 Lincoln, during the same sit-down, and has high hopes of who might be driving the classic car in real-life really soon. Garcia-Rulfo said, “Shooting nights in that convertible, in that Lincoln, is so cool. I want to take that. I’m hoping at the end, Netflix is like, ‘Manuel, this is your wrap present.’” Here’s hoping Garcia-Rulfo gets his wish, but the real present, for the fans at least, will be the long-awaited return of The Lincoln Lawyer this fall.
