Sony’s and MGM’s upcoming Spider-Man series Spider-Noir starring Nicolas Cage is set to be the first television outing within the SSU and everyone is very much excited for it. Cage will reprise his role as Spider-Man Noir from the Spider-Verse animated films, this time in live-action format, which is why everyone thinks the project will be awesome.
The series will consist of eight episodes and won’t air before late 2025 or even 2026, as filming will be concluded in early 2025. It will stream on MGM+ and that is, more or less, all we know about the series, aside from the fact that it will follow “aging, down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York City who is grappling with his past life as the only superhero in the city.”
Aside from Cage, the series will feature Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Li Jun Li, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Karen Rodriguez as well. While information is still being kept a secret, a recent leak provided us with the first batch of information about the series, and based on the early comments – it is going to be huge.
The series is developed by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who also serve as showrunners, and will focus on the story of Spider-Man Noir, a very popular iteration of Spider-Man, whom the fans loved in the Spider-Verse films. That is why everyone was overjoyed that Cage would be reprising his role in the series as well.
As said, we have recently received the first leaked images and even a video from the filming process, and here is the video for you:
Daniel RPK is a very popular and reliable insider, so when he says something, it definitely has weight, which is why we are very, very excited about this, because if these rumors prove to be true, the series is definitely going to be a smashing hit. What are the fans saying? Have a look for yourselves:
