Speaking with Radio Times, Perrineau teased that something is wrong with Fatima’s baby in From, contrasting it to his real-life wife’s pregnancy where she craved iced tea, which their son now enjoys. The actor also indicated plenty of horrifying moments left to come as season 3 continues, including some answers to what’s going on in the town. Praising creator John Griffin, he says that while answers will be provided, the audience will still be left wanting more. Check out what Perrineau had to say below:
This baby is bizarre. When my wife was pregnant with our second kid, she craved iced tea, and so my second kid, he likes iced tea – if that’s any indication of what’s to come with Fatima. She’s not drinking iced tea. So, yeah, this baby is striking, to say the least.
The rest of the season is just as scary as the first part of the season, and yet John [Griffin, creator] has lots of surprises that are going to just blow people’s minds… it’s astounding. It’s really, really well written…. It’s gonna be like, ‘No, this can’t be the end of the season.’ You’re going to want to find out what all those things are about. One of the great things that John said about this third season is that you are going to get answers. There are lots of answers, but the answers aren’t the end of the story.
What Perrineau’s Statements Mean For From Season 3
Fatima’s In Danger, But Answers Will Arrive

From season 2 ended by revealing Fatima was pregnant, a miracle because she was unable to have kids before arriving in the town. While it supposedly belongs to Ellis (Corteon Moore), she’s no longer able to digest anything other than rotten vegetables, and now the blood from Nicky’s wound. These elements coupled with Perrineau’s statement indicates her baby isn’t normal, and truly is a byproduct of the supernatural events happening in town. While it’s unclear if she’ll be giving birth this season, her baby’s abnormalities seem like they’ll continue to multiply as the show progresses.
As for the season 3 finale, Perrineau has revealed that answers are going to be arriving by the last episode. This makes sense given that season 3, episode 9 is titled “Revelations: Chapter One” and season 3, episode 10 is “Revelations: Chapter Two.” Having two episodes for the cast of From to receive answers about what’s going on means plenty is likely to be unveiled. However, given the many layers that still need to be peeled back, such as the creatures, the Bottle Tree, and what Anghkooey means, some questions may remain for the future.
Our Take On Fatima’s Pregnancy & From Season 3’s Ending
Both Could Tie Into One Another

Given how major a mystery Fatima’s pregnancy is, we think it’s possible her baby will tie into how From season 3 ends. While it might just be one small attribute of the larger slew of answers the final episodes provide, it could also provide deeper analysis of the town and what it’s been doing to residents this whole time. With six episodes left before the season comes to a close, there are bound to be plenty of new questions, and answers, before the big reveals finally come to pass.
