Harrison Ford expresses regrets over not being able to play the role of Indy in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
Harrison Ford graced the stage during The Game Awards. He came on stage alongside Troy Baker and Todd Howard to present the award for Best Performance.
He also congratulated Baker on the success of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle while expressing some regrets about missing out on the opportunity to play Indy himself in the game. He was all praises for Baker’s performance in the game.
Harrison Ford Could Still Play Indiana Jones
The iconic character of Indiana Jones, made famous with the collaboration of Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg, has now found its way into the world of gaming as well. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was released a few days ago and opened up to great reception from players.
During The Game Awards, Harrison Ford surprised the audience with his presence on the stage. He was standing alongside Baker and Howard, who have been key contributors to the success of the game. Ford also jokingly mentioned how he wishes he could have played the role of Indy in the game. He said:
If I had known he was so good, I would’ve done it myself.
Ford’s reassuring words must have hit Baker like a blessing who had some big shoes to fill. It is fair to say now that the whip’s transfer has been successful and is in the right hands.

Troy Baker had gone to great lengths to embody Indy, and his efforts surely reflected in his performance in the game. He has done a good job playing this iconic character.

Harrison Ford expressing regrets about not being able to act in the game proves the impact Baker’s performance has had on him. He feels left out for not being a part of the game.
Even Spielberg would be happy with the reception the game is getting at the moment. MachineGames has done a good job of staying true to the source material. The game drew heavy influence from the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark.
