While discussing the sequel’s 2026 release and the fact that a third film is planned, Pattinson stated, “I could genuinely be retiring by the end of them.” The statement seems to be more of a cheeky comment on how long each film takes from development to release than an actual update on his DC movie future.

But even if The Batman 3 were to come out by 2028 or 2030, Pattinson would still be in his early 40s, which would make retiring from his acting career way too premature.

The only way Pattinson would walk away from acting is if he decided to pursue a different profession altogether, which is why his comments should only be looked at as a joke.
