Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will not let you level up in the traditional sense for the sake of being more immersive and grounded in nature.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is just a few days away from its release. Many details about the game are slowly taking form as the release date draws near. According to a recent discovery about the game, it is confirmed that it will not be featuring the most sought-after feature in the game for the sake of being grounded and more immersive.

The game will not follow a traditional skill tree to help you level up and learn more skills. Instead, MachineGames has other plans to make the procedure more immersive and grounded in the game.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be taking a different approach than the traditional way of leveling up by earning points and redeeming them in the skills tab. It has been done and dusted to the point where it feels quite redundant.
MachineGames realizes this, and that is why it has come up with a unique way to approach the same. In Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, you will need to explore the various areas on the map to find Adventure Books that will teach you the necessary skills. These collectibles have been strategically placed throughout the map.
Jens Andersson, the design director of the game, talked about it in detail. He explained why the team decided to go with this approach rather than sticking to the traditional way.
We wanted to make this game as grounded and immersive as possible, so having a more traditional skill tree would detract from that. Instead, being able to discover and read books to unlock new abilities felt like a better match for our favorite archaeologist and professor.
We also wanted to have really nice rewards for exploration and for solving the mysteries you discover around the world, and what better reward is there than finding a completely new ability that you didn’t know existed?”
This might be the best news for some of the curious minds out there who have an itch to explore all the regions on the map in search of interesting rewards.

The game by its very nature enables players to be more adventurous. The story of Indiana Jones is one full of explorations and interesting discoveries hidden well behind what the naked eye sees.
The game will help you embody the protagonist’s nature by creating an environment around you that forces you to always keep your eyes and ears open to the many things you might come across on your journey. The role of Indiana Jones is portrayed by the seasoned actor Troy Baker in the game.
Incorporating this feature also increases the replayability of the game since it allows players to revisit some of the places and look at them with fresh eyes to find new things there. Are you excited about this feature or prefer the traditional way? Let us know in the comments below.
