But this change of location had fans of the show worried that the season would mark an end for the show, after all, it is called Emily in Paris. Many loose ends still need to be tied for Emily, whether it comes to her new office or romantic interest.

Darren Star, the show’s creator spoke to The Hollywood Reporter assuring fans that their worst fears might not come true. Though this news had some relieved others still worry about the show’s impending fate. Star also spoke to Glamour hinting at future possibilities.

Yeah, I think we will definitely see more Emily in Rome if we have a season five. Emily [is now] there.

The final decision lies in the hands of Netflix, though fans and creators alike think there’s a lot in store for Emily. According to a report by USA Today, a rep for the network said any update for the next installment is scarce.

The City of Love & Loss: Emily’s Roman Holiday

In another report by Variety, during the amfAR Gala at the Cannes Film Festival, Winnie Harlow and Paris Jackson allegedly auctioned a walk-on role for the unannounced fifth season of the show. The pair even said that the shooting for the next installment would begin around mid-2025.

Will have the opportunity to spend a day on set in Paris during filming, contingent upon season 5 pickup.

Though the network has not picked the show for renewal yet, the official website for the action still listed that particular bid. The updated version states the next season as ‘contingent’ which was not a part of the original offer according to the booklet.

The fourth season left a lot unfigured for Emily, like her future in the company’s new Rome office. The romantic triangle between Emily-Gabriel (played by Lucas Bravo) and now Marcello (portrayed by Eugenio Franceschini) remains unresolved.
