Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has a big reason for wanting to head into the Celebrity Big Brother house – and it’s not to pay for another hair transplant. The actor suffered a “dramatic” hair loss at the front of his scalp when he decided to have more than 3,000 individual hairs transplanted at the Crown Clinic in Manchester.
But this year, the 37-year-old star is set to desert the ITV cobbles for a reality show. With a big salary on offer from bosses, Jack – who earns around £250,000 a year from his role as David Platt in Soapland – is reportedly trying to save up for his wedding to his fiancée Hanni Treweek. He first popped the question in 2024 while the pair were on safari in Africa together, and they’re set to marry this summer.

An insider told The Sun: “Jack and Hanni are pulling out all the stops for their big day. They are incredibly in love and want their day to really represent them as they celebrate with friends and family.
“Hanni is known for being very stylish and they’ve not skimped on things for the wedding to make sure it’s all perfect. Jack makes good money but it’s no secret that the CBB money is a draw for anyone, especially if you are planning a big event.”
Jack is said to be receiving around £100,000 for his CBB stint, the same wage as EastEnders star Patsy Palmer. In comparison, Conservative MP Michael Fabricant has reportedly been offered £120,000 to appear on the show, while double Olympic gold winner Daley Thompson is raking in £150,000.

It’s Mickey Rourke who comes out on top with around a £500,000 paycheque, while JoJo Siwa is thought to be earning £400,000 for appearing on the programme.
As for Jack, he’s been candid about his past cosmetic procedure, and in 2019 marked nine months since his hair transplant. He wrote at the time: “9 months it’s been since I had my hair transplant, this is the first time I’ve compared pictures to what I used to look like.
“I decided to get it done as it was affecting my mental health. To the point where I considered giving up acting and not being in the public eye. Thank you so much @asimshahmalak and everyone at Crown Clinic.”
