Deadpool & Wolverine was, for many fans, the most anticipated movie of the year. The movie, which is presently still running in theaters and stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, was everything the fans expected. As you know, there are numerous Easter Eggs in the movie, which is currently having a great time in theaters across the globe, and fans are still finding and counting them.
Aside from the characters and more or less obvious Marvel references, a lot of the Easter Eggs were hidden within the jokes, which were mostly uttered by Deadpool himself. And, knowing the character likes to break the fourth wall, a lot of these jokes had meta references to them and Deadpool often targeted both Disney and Kevin Feige.
In a recent interview given to Variety, the head of Marvel Studios and the creative genius behind the MCU decided to react to these jokes and we are going to reveal to you what he said.
Deadpool started to make fun of Disney and Feige early on, and one of the most prominent early jokes was related to cocaine, as Deadpool literally says that Feige personally banned the use of cocaine in the movie and that there was no way that he and Blind Al could pull it off, as Feige had been given a list of all known synonyms for cocaine. Here’s what Feige himself said about this:
Deadpool makes a joke in the trailer about you saying cocaine is the one thing that’s off-limits. Did you really say that?
I didn’t say they couldn’t. But we were talking about everybody always being afraid of Disney-fying things. This is the biggest entertainment company in the world for 100 years. You should be so lucky to Disney-fy everything! But what people mean by that is shaving down the rough edges. We were open to everything. I had said there were some things that we could evolve. After about the 28th time you do a joke, sometimes it’s not as funny. Maybe I’m slightly prudish when it comes to drug use. But I was like “Eh, it’s not that funny” in passing. Ryan, of course, stores everything in his brain for later use as excellent jokes. And he added it to the script.

Another prominent joke came at the end of the movie when Deadpool said to Wolverine that Disney would have him play the role until he is 90, which was a brilliant meta moment, as Deadpool was actually talking to Hugh Jackman there. At the same time, Wolverine has no knowledge about who this “Hugh Jackman” is and since the character is around 200 years old, many fans are wondering whether Wolverine got the joke in the first place:
The way he looked at him like “bitch…I’m 200 years old”

He was born in 1832, that makes him 192 years old. He’s way past 90. He must be so fucking confused.

This was one of my favorite breaking the 4th wall jokes cause everyone in that room was like “tf is he talking about this guy is 200”
