Furthermore, Clay told Amber “AD” Smith at every turn he wasn’t sure if he was emotionally mature enough to remain faithful. When someone says who they are, it’s best to believe them.

After leaving AD heartbroken at the altar, Clay dated OnlyFans model Celina Powell, an adult star who had been linked to various celebrities like Offset, DJ Akademiks, and Aaron Carter. His mother spoke out on Instagram regarding the relationship, expressing her disappointment with Clay. He was a poor choice for the show.

Jackie wasn’t a good casting choice, but production also proved they didn’t care about the cast by purposefully making her look worse on TV.

Bartise Bowden

He Was Consistently Disrespectful

Bartise Bowden was a polarizing cast member on Love Is Blind season 3, and he only proved his villainy in Perfect Match season 1. From the start, Bartise demonstrated a lack of emotional maturity, similar to Clay and Jackie, though more sinister. Although he and Nancy got engaged, Bartise thought Raven Ross was attractive, leading him to express doubts about his connection with Nancy. He even talked about how beautiful Raven was in front of Nancy, which was inappropriate.

Bartise made it clear to Nancy that he found Raven more physically attractive, even though Nancy had shown him unconditional support. He also seemed to belittle and dismiss her and expected her unconditional love while waffling about his feelings. Bartise was rude and condescending to women on Perfect Match, and while he didn’t find anyone on the show, it was revealed that Bartise fathered a child between filming and airing. He’s now a dad, which softened his image.

Ultimately, Chelsea chose Jimmy, largely because he proposed to her first. Puppy-loving, soft-hearted gym bro Trevor was left heartbroken in the pods to watch The Notebook by himself.

However, Trevor’s girlfriend, a fellow bodybuilder, came out of the woodwork alleging he knowingly went on the show while they were still together. Natalia Marrero, Trevor’s ex, claimed on her Instagram with since-deleted screenshots he went on the show for clout. They were in a relationship when he went on the show, and he threatened to leak her sexually explicit photos and videos if she spoke out. The backlash was intense, and Trevor’s appearance at the Love Is Blind reunion revealed his mistakes. Production should’ve vetted his relationship status.

Tyler Francis

He Allegedly Has Three Children

Because Tyler Francis is a cast member in Love Is Blind season 7, allegations that Tyler has three children are brand-new and still unfolding. However, his seemingly idyllic connection with Ashley Adionser might be in danger after Lovetta Thomas shared on her public Facebook account that Tyler has three kids with her daughter. The reel features many photos of Tyler holding, playing with, and smiling with three kids who look a lot like him. While the story is still developing, Tyler hinted towards trouble on the show.

The problems surrounding Love Is Blind season 6’s Jeramey Lutinski kept coming as his storyline unfolded. While he got engaged to Laura Dadisman in the pods, he also had a connection with Sarah Ann Bick. It became clear Laura and Jeramey weren’t compatible, but when Jeramey met up with Sarah Ann during filming and didn’t return home until the wee hours of the morning, he cast himself as the villain in their doomed engagement. While Jeramey and Sarah Ann denied cheating allegations, the meetup was still sketchy.

Jeramey consistently showed he was a slimy person on Love Is Blind, making the accusations against him easy to believe.

Cheating allegations aside, other unsavory accusations came up regarding Jeramey. It was revealed that Jeramey was previously engaged shortly before appearing on Love Is Blind season 6, and his ex-fiancee had a child from another relationship. Additionally, another ex-girlfriend, @gingersnapss_ on TikTok, shared a multipart series on her abusive and problematic relationship with Jeramey. In her TikTok series, Jeramey’s ex claimed he pulled a gun on her, which he refuted. Jeramey denied all claims of infidelity and abuse, but production still should have sussed out his messy past and passed on casting him.

Carter Wall

His Storyline Was Cut From Love Is Blind Season 5

Carter Wall and Renee Poche’s storyline was nearly completely cut from Love Is Blind season 5 because of his behavior towards his former fiancée. The couple got engaged in the pods, and their journey was filmed, including Renee trying on wedding dresses and preparing for the ceremony. However, Renee and Carter’s scenes were removed from the show because of his scary behavior.

Renee revealed the producers told her Carter “was awful” and they didn’t want her to relive the negative experience on screen, but they also forced her to keep filming. Producers allegedly got to the point where they wouldn’t leave her alone with him, but Renee was also contractually obligated to go through with filming, proving they didn’t care about her safety. Even though their footage was cut, Renee shared some behind-the-scenes photos of her wedding dress fitting on social media. Since the show, Renee has moved on, getting married to someone else after filming wrapped.

Bohdan Olinares

He’s Facing Sexual Assault Allegations

Bohdan Olinares hit it off with fellow military veteran Marissa George on Love Is Blind season 7, but she ultimately chose to get engaged to Ramses Prashad. While Ukrainian-born Bohdan seemed to be a great guy in the pods, there have been allegations surfacing since Love Is Blind season 7 premiered in early October. It’s important to note that Bohdan has yet to speak out on the serious accusations, but if they are true, it indicates the Love Is Blind producers don’t care about their cast members’ safety.

Allegations against Bohdan haven’t been officially verified, and he hasn’t spoken out against the accusations.

According to Distractify, a woman who briefly dated Bohdan took to Facebook to warn other women about the Washington, D.C.-based man. According to the woman, she hooked up with and dated Bohdan for a couple of months. After a few months, the woman alleged, “We met up and had a couple of drinks (he and I had been out prior to meeting and had been drinking some). We began hooking up, and things quickly escalated to an aggressive nature.”

Tran Dang Sued Netflix For His Sexual Misconduct During Filming

Netflix came under fire after Love Is Blind season 5 contestant Tran Dang sued the network due to mistreatment by Thomas Smith, her fiancé on the show. Tran and Thomas were completely cut from Love Is Blind season 5. In a lawsuit filed in August 2023, Tran alleged the producers failed to take appropriate action after she reported the assault, which occurred during filming in Mexico.

According to the lawsuit, Tran informed producers about the incident, but instead of offering adequate support, they allegedly told her to sleep on it and pressured her to continue filming. Tran claims production’s response was dismissive. Even worse, this was the same season where producers forced Renee and Carter to keep filming.

Tran’s legal complaint also detailed concerns about the overall production environment, which has changed since the suit was filed. She mentioned that contestants were allegedly isolated, deprived of food, water, and sleep, and provided with ample alcohol, creating a high-stress situation. Now, plenty of food appears onscreen as a reminder that production has made changes.

However, given the casting choices in season 7, it seems production still prioritizes drama over the safety of cast members.
