Jake was originally engaged to Ella in the pods, but he has slammed her accusations
Ella Liliana, a cast member on Love Is Blind UK was engaged to Cat’s current boyfriend Jake during her time on the show, however now she has suggested there might have been some ‘crossover’ between the two relationships.
In a TikTok, Ella explained more about her unaired relationship in the pods with Jake, including her confusion about why he has described his experience as “traumatic.” Cat has previously revealed that Jake had a “very rough” journey whilst in the Love Is Blind UK pods which was partly why she reached out to him in the first place.
Ella continued: “Jake coincidentally is now in a relationship with Cat, the sad thing about it is I took this whole process very very seriously and I’m not quite sure that was reciprocated, to be honest. Behind the wall I thought it was, I was like ‘100 per cent this is reciprocated’ and for a while, I actually thought that it was going to be a genuine incredible thing. We weren’t compatible and it wasn’t going to work and I think that’s the sad part.”
Her friend then asks her how long she and Jake were together, with Ella saying: “We were together for about a month. I’m unsure if there was any crossover between him and Cat.” Her friend added: “Jake could have been speaking to Cat whilst you were still with Jake, because of how quickly he went to Cat after you.”
Ella continued: “The fact that he basically ghosted me and then I find out that he is dating Cat, I mean that really wasn’t nice. It was super fresh.”
However Jake seemed to dispel the rumours that he ghosted her and cleared up exactly what happened during their relationship on the show. He explained she was also seeing another cast member called Connor but told Jake she wanted to be with him, after which he stopped his relationships with the other girls in the pods.
After emotionally opening up to Ella about the passing of his mother in 2021 she suddenly had a change of heart and apparently said she now wanted to be with Connor, leaving Jake heartbroken.
On engagement day Connor revealed to Jake that he would not be proposing to Ella, and at that point Jake was just ready to go home but before he could he was told someone wanted to meet with him.
According to him, Ella then actually proposed to Jake and he accepted with their relationship continuing for a few more weeks on the outside. Jake said he had “no idea” where Ella got the idea that he ghosted her and he claims he invited her over to his house to break up in person and even asked if they could stay friends afterwards.
He also clarified that were was “absolutely no crossover” between his relationship with Cat and his one with Ella, maintaining he’d never even met Cat before they started messaging, which was after he and Ella broke up.
