But even if Tyler’s betrayal is a major blow to Wednesday Addams, it makes for good storytelling. Season 1’s twist lands well, and Doohan does an impressive job of capturing all sides of his character. Those who want to see the actor take on a similar role should check out one of Netflix’s newest additions. While it’s set in a very different world than Wednesday, it has some surprising similarities with the series.
Your Honor Season 1 Stars Wednesday’s Hunter Doohan In Another Twisted Role
The Show’s Dubious Characters Will Appeal To Tyler Fans
Custom Image by Yailin ChaconYour Honor season 1 is officially streaming on Netflix, and Bryan Cranston’s Breaking Bad replacement show is worth watching for numerous reasons. For those biding their time until Wednesday season 2 debuts, the legal drama offers an opportunity to see Doohan in another twisted role. Doohan plays Adam Desiato in Your Honor season 1, a high school senior who fatally hits another teenager while driving. Although the incident isn’t malicious — it happens while Adam is having an asthma attack — he leaves the scene, putting himself in a difficult situation.
Your Honor is full of dubious decisions and characters, and they’ll likely appeal to anyone who appreciated Tyler’s role in Wednesday season 1.
Adam is the son of Cranston’s Judge Michael Desiato, and his hit-and-run also puts his father in a predicament. This is made worse when Michael realizes who Adam killed — and makes the questionable choice to keep his son’s involvement under wraps. Your Honor is full of dubious decisions and characters, and they’ll likely appeal to anyone who appreciated Tyler’s role in Wednesday season 1. The series also sees Doohan flexing similar acting muscles, as his Your Honor character has a bit in common with Tyler.
Hunter Doohan’s Your Honor Season 1 Character Shares Some Similarities To Tyler In Wednesday
The Actor Has Similar Arcs In Both TV Shows
While Your Honor is a far cry from Wednesday in terms of genre, Doohan’s characters have similar arcs in both shows. Adam and Tyler are both the sons of important town figures, who find themselves in situations that force their fathers to cover up for them. In Adam’s case, his father must hide his hit-and-run. In Tyler’s, Sheriff Galpin (Jamie McShane) is forced to bury the fact that his son is a Hyde.
In each scenario, Doohan’s character kills someone but isn’t necessarily homicidal. In Wednedsay, Marilyn brings out the worst in Tyler, while Your Honor unfolds because of a deadly accident. It’s clear Doohan is good at playing morally gray, villainous roles. Hopefully, viewers will see more of his acting in Wednesday season 2.
