During Ryan Reynolds’ conversation with Andrew Garfield in an episode of Variety‘s “Actors on Actors”, Reynolds confesses he was worried about Wolverine’s MCU introduction, particularly in regard to the mutant’s dialog. Reynolds argues that Wolverine’s verbal fight with Deadpool in Deadpool & Wolverine was especially daunting, as “he’s saying more in that one monologue than he says in an entire movie typically”. Wolverine is the one I was really worried about in the movie. Yeah, because right away, people are bringing Hugh [Jackman] back in this iconic role, and writing Wolverine dialogue was one of the scariest things I’ve done. Also, there’s a scene you may remember in the van where he just tears me apart.
