Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales (better known as Kate Middleton) unveiled some big news today, and mere hours after they announced Kate is cancer-free, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s network also made a big announcement about one of their projects.
On Sept 9, Kensington Palace shared a rare update on Kate, and her cancer journey. From the “message from Catherine, The Princess of Wales,” she revealed in the video taken by Will Warr, that she has ended chemotherapy and is focusing on staying cancer-free and being with her family. It was a touching video of Kate talking about hope and her family, featuring the family of five.
However, hours later, another royal couple released a video of sorts. Let us explain. Hours later, Netflix posted a sneak peek at their new documentary series. They posted a series of stills to X, with the caption reading, “POLO is a new documentary series that follows elite global players and offers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced world of the sport. From Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures. Premiering this December.”
Now, this announcement has split royal fans. While many are excited to see more from Meghan and Harry’s slew of Netflix projects, many are quite upset with the timing of it all.
One X user commented, saying, “Posting this straight after Catherine’s announcement about her cancer ensures that not only will I not watch this, I will also cancel Netflix. Screw you.” Another user wrote, though, “Wow amazing.”
