Regardless of how many times we actually say it, the fact is that Deadpool & Wolverine is indeed one of the most successful films of the year and one of the most successful superhero outings of all time. The fans loved it, and its $1+ billion box office success cemented it in second place on the annual list, behind only Inside Out 2.
But, with so much going on with the movie and Marvel, the fans are eager to find out about the future of the franchise, especially whether there is going to be a direct sequel to the highly successful movie. And we have some rumors related to that.
Namely, it turns out that – according to a very popular rumor mill – a sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine is, indeed, coming and we might even know when it is going to come if the rumor we have is true. If you want to know all the details, keep reading our report!
Deadpool & Wolverine was a major hit this summer. The critics were not amazed, but the fans absolutely loved it. It was quirky and strange, and it featured so many cameos and Easter Eggs that the fans absolutely adored it, which accounts for the box office success.
On tip of that, Deadpool finally teamed up with Wolverine and the charisma brought to the screen by both Reynolds and Hugh Jackman made the film even better.
The film did not add much to the overall MCU lore, but it changed the perception of the Multiverse and expanded it in a significant way; with everything that happened in the movie, there is much to watch out for going forward.
In light of that, as well as the enormous success that the movie achieved, many fans were wondering about a sequel to the beloved movie and we finally have something in that aspect:
Deadpool & Wolverine 2 will release after Secret Wars pic.twitter.com/5X8zAy1x5c

MyTimeToShineHello is a popular rumor mill when it comes to superhero movies, but since they are not always the most reliable of sources (their sourcing is very enigmatic, to use an euphemism), we advise you to take this rumor with a grain of salt. We don’t know if it is true or not, and until there is something official, be cautious about this.
So, what do we know, supposedly? Well, according to the rumor – without any further context or information – a sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine is being worked on and the movie is going to appear after Secret Wars. This means that it is not a priority, but there Marvel definitely wants to capitalize on this year’s successful team-up.
It could very well be that Deadpool and Wolverine might end up traveling the Multiverse once again to clean up the mess that is certainly going to happen in the Secret Wars storyline, so that could be an interesting take on the story. What are the fans saying? Here are some of the comments:
I’ve never seen such bullshit…
Hugh Jackman gonna be playing Wolverine after Secret Wars in his mid 60s apparently😂😂😂

They should at least do a solid Deadpool 3 before changing franchises

Sigh. The first one is overrated. Not interested in watching those characters played by the same actors when I’ll be 90.

Hugh Jackman won’t be Wolverine after Secret Wars so this is cap

Only releasing two movies a year though… sounds like it’ll be a long time before we get any of these movies
