Rumor Claims that Marvel Is Eyeing Rachel Zegler for an MCU Role and the Fans Have Reacted

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) keeps evolving, as fans will know, and while the franchise has had a series of underperformances (not to say failures) in recent times, Deadpool & Wolverine seemingly brought the franchise back on track. And with Downey Jr. coming back to play Doctor Doom, many fans are excited to see what Feige will cook up next.

Many upcoming projects have been confirmed, many are rumored, and in light of the latter fact, we can confirm that the rumor mill is very, very active and that we keep getting new rumors, scoops, and gossip on a daily basis.

The most recent one claims that Marvel is now eyeing former DCEU and current Disney star Rachel Zegler for an as-of-yet-unknown role in the MCU. Rachel Zegler is a young actress whom you might know from her breakout role in Spielberg’s West Side Story, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, or The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

She is also going to star in the upcoming live-action version of Snow White. And while definitely talented, Zegler has also – especially recently – been in the focus of the media due to her social media posts.

We know that she contributed to the controversy surrounding the upcoming Snow White movie by adding fire to an already problematic project, especially when she (not so) subtly started a feud with her colleague Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress, over the ongoing conflict in Palestine.

Recently, as we have reported, she also commented on the US presidential election results, attacking Trump and his supporters.

The actress is currently busy working on Broadway but it seems that she will see a return to the mainstream quite soon if the rumor we have for you is true:
