After roasting Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Deadpool finally gets his leash pulled by Disney before roasting their most beloved possession.
Deadpool and Wolverine, the third installment in Disney’s Deadpool saga, was released with a bang across the world. The amazing soundtrack along with Deadpool and Wolverine’s combined efforts to save the world make for an action-packed powerhouse in Marvel’s ongoing time and reality-bending Multiverse Saga. However, one of the major things that draws many fans around the world to Wade Wilson’s suited form is his interesting, unfiltered humor.

Now, it is safe to say that they did not hold back while writing the script, as is evident from him roasting Marvel’s most beloved superheroes, be it the X-Men, or the Avengers. However, this also begs the question as to where they should draw the line before it becomes too much. Thankfully, it seems like we finally have the answer to that.
Disney Made Deadpool and Wolverine Replace a Joke
Disney’s Deadpool and Wolverine became one of this year’s most successful movies, not only in theaters but on Disney+ where it firmly established itself as one of the most streamed movies as well.
Exciting cameos from some of the most famous Marvel franchises as the Merc with a Mouth hops around in different realities, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds’ terrific performances, to off-the-hinges jokes roasting everybody possible, this movie has it all.

However, it seems like even Deadpool has a limit to the lengths he can go to with his jokes. Or at least, Disney has made sure for that to be the case. Apparently, Disney made the writers replace a joke in the movie which referred to them as “cheap” for only pushing Mickey Mouse content. The entire joke was finally revealed in the screenplay Disney shared recently.
F*CK! What we can’t even afford one more X-Man? Disney is so cheap. I can barely breathe with all this Mickey Mouse c*ck in my throat.
Fans, although thoroughly enjoying his out-of-pocket thought process, have wondered for long what that limit would be for him. Turns out, that the limit is possibly nothing but Disney’s most prized possession, THE Mickey Mouse.
After Roasting Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Deadpool finds his leash pulled with Mickey Mouse
Incidentally, in Deadpool vol. #3, issue #7, the Merc with a Mouth stole Tony Stark’s Iron Man suit when the latter was immersed in a self-indulgent pity party dealing with alcoholism, as he had been known to do so a lot in the past. He then flew around in the sky incoherently mocking his drinking problem, and being a mess in general, which caused a huge uproar, both by Stark and the people in general who had the misfortune to witness it.
So, it is quite ironic that after roasting some of the world’s most beloved superheroes, including Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, who is arguably also the most respected among all, Deadpool would be stopped before going after Mickey Mouse.

Be it Walt Disney’s legacy, or the company’s over $200 billion worth dynasty as per Macrotrends, it seems that if there is anyone who remains far beyond the reaches of Deadpool’s burns it’s the 100-year-old Mouse Mascot. Fans, though, seem a bit divided on whether Disney should have just kept that joke in, while some are calling Disney “soft”, with others stating the joke to be unfunny.
Everyone asked where they’d draw the line with Deadpool. Turns out they draw the line at ‘Mickey Mouse cock in my throat’. https://t.co/YlV5wBR3Ed

However, it is safe to say that it did not impact the movie’s success at all. With a whopping $1.338B box office collection according to Box Office Mojo, it also opened up the horizons for a possible sequel in the future.
Although only time will tell how soon that might be, or if at all, with Ryan Reynolds stating he might be interested in other projects for the time being, it is still something to wonder about what new limits the next movie might reach when it does happen.
Deadpool and Wolverine is available for streaming on Disney+.
