More Skyrim means more fun

Players have a new quest to take on in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, one that’s inspired by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in its design.

Skyrim and The Witcher 3 are similar on many fronts, with both games being mediaeval adventures where the player takes on mythical beasts and encounters dark magic.

While there are certainly things that set the Bethesda and CD Projekt RED games apart, a new quest you can download for Skyrim seemingly blends the best of both worlds.

It’s called ‘Bark and Bite’, and it’s a quest that’s directly inspired by The Witcher 3 in terms of content.

The mod’s description is quite vague, probably to avoid giving too much away, but it says players will come across a strange tree within the Rift and choose if they’d like to interact with it.

The title suggests there might be some sort of werewolf or other fanged beast involved but you’ll have to play it for yourself to find out exactly what.

Beast hunting aside, the other obvious Witcher inspiration is the fact you clearly don’t need to involve yourself if you don’t want to, as there are several quests in The Witcher 3 where you can simply choose to walk away and let it be someone else’s problem, but still completing the quest at the same time.

You’ll be missing out on the content, of course, but Skyrim is a big game, and there’s a lot to see and do, so there’s no shame in not wanting to get too invested.
