It’s no secret that the fans of Helldivers 2 and Space Marine 2 are constantly getting into debates on social media to prove why their favorite is superior. Both games feature exciting PvE modes that are unique in their own ways, however, the Helldivers 2 community believes that it deserves the crown because of all the chaos and action.

While fighting enemies, particularly the Automatons, Helldivers can often get outnumbered and find themselves in situations where it seems impossible to make it out alive. Having a last stand is probably the best way to describe it as it is defined as a final defensive military effort against overwhelming odds.

A video is currently going viral on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit in which a dedicated Helldivers 2 player showcases his remarkable skills as they fight off hordes of terrifying Automaton units. This video simply shows the reason why players love Helldivers 2. It’s the chaos, the action, the war-like feeling that players love about the game, and that’s why Space Marine 2 will never be able to overtake it.

Getting into situations where making a defensive effort despite superior odds is one male fantasy that Helldivers 2 fulfills, giving players an intense gaming experience. It’s hard to believe that Arrowhead Game Studios almost killed off its own game, but it is true as the game lost most of its fanbase two months ago.

Helldivers 2 Made A Strong Comeback

In August, the game’s first major update, Escalation of Freedom, was released and it was a complete disappointment. At that point, the game had lost most of its fanbase, particularly because of the nerfs and the PSN account linking policy for PC players. Arrowhead then came up with a 60-day plan to revive the game’s popularity.

The recent updates have proved to be a success as the active players count in increasing once again. Arrowhead has buffed many fan-favorite Stratagems like the Flamethrower and Railgun, making them fun to use once again. For now, Arrowhead is heading down the right path, but the game still needs some fresh content, a new enemy faction in particular. The game has made a strong comeback but it still needs Arrowhead’s support to make sure it stays relevant.

Saber Interactive made the same mistake with Space Marine 2 recently as it rolled out a lot of nerfs in a single update, leading to a strong reaction from the fans. To make sure it doesn’t repeat Arrowhead’s mistakes, Saber promised to fix the game.
