Netflix has now unveiled all eight episode titles in a video featuring the iconic Stranger Things theme music and the visual style of the series’ opening credits. In addition to the episode titles, the video confirms that season 5 will take place in the fall of 1987, and that all eight episodes will debut on Netflix in 2025. The name in the second episode title, “The Vanishing of ______” has been redacted, leaving the identity of the disappeared a mystery for now. See the full list of season 5 titles below:

Multiple Plot Points Are Teased In The Episode Titles
The episode titles provide several intriguing teases for season 5 and help bring the story full-circle. Stranger Things season 1, episode 1 was titled “The Vanishing of Will Byers,” a clear parallel to season 5, episode 2’s title. As for who disappears this time, the most likely candidate is Stranger Things‘ recast character, Holly Wheeler (Nell Fisher). The recast has Holly poised to play her most prominent role yet in season 5, which could be her being captured by the villainous Vecna (James Campbell Bower) and disappearing into the Upside Down.
Another compelling episode title is episode 4, “Sorcerer.” This will likely connect to the show’s vast Dungeons and Dragons lore and may even tie into theories about Will secretly having powers and being a sorcerer, making Will the Wise more than a fictional persona in a game. However, the most telling episode title is episode 8, “The Rightside Up,” an obvious play on “The Upside Down,” which was the title of Stranger Things season 1’s finale. This hopeful episode title suggests a happy ending where things will become right again for Stranger Things‘ characters.
