Black Myth: Wukong is also the only game that comes close to mimicking some of the great mechanics players have been wanting to see ever since they got a taste of it in Red Dead Redemption. There is one mechanic in the game that is absolutely awe inspiring and needs to be incorporated in more open-world titles.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is praised for its sheer attention to detail and interactivity with the world’s surroundings. The game detailed to the last rock and almost everything and everyone in the game can be interacted with throughout the course of the game.

One such great example of the game’s attention to detail is the interactivity with snow. Black Myth: Wukong derives heavy inspiration from the same and features a highly interactive snowy environment that interacts with you in the most beautiful way.

This aspect of Black Myth: Wukong is being highly praised since it is the only game after Red Dead Redemption 2 to have attempted this level of interactivity. It is fair to say that Black Myth: Wukong is currently the only competitor of RDR 2.

The little details in the game are what transports the players into the world of the game and make them a part of it. This helps build a personal and emotional connection with the game’s world that lingers long after finishing the game.

RDR 2 Finally Has A Worthy Opponent

Ever since Red Dead Redemption 2’s release in 2019 no game has managed to come close to making players feel an emotional connect with the protagonist and his world making it one of the best games to have ever been created.

Black Myth: Wukong is the only game that stands strong as a worthy opponent against RDR 2 since it too pushes the boundaries of what we expect from a game. Even the narrative of the game is as good as RDR 2 even though there is no human touch to it at all. The game is based on Chinese Mythology and features the Monkey King whom we embody while playing the game.

However, there is no doubt that the game manages to strike an emotional connection that works on many layers whilst enabling us to interact with its world in ways never seen before. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.
