It doesn’t take much to set the cat amongst the pigeons when it comes to The Elder Scrolls VI.
Just the mere suggestion of multiplayer has triggered some heated discussions.
Considering how the community is on tenterhooks after a certain Fallout 5 teaser, it’s not difficult to understand why everyone is so tightly wound.
When sithdude24 asked TES subreddit about its opinion on multiplayer being in the next Bethesda instalment, the responses varied enormously.
In contrast to this, someone else said, “All I want is the ability to co-op with a single other person. Not an MMO. Not four-player parties. Just me, and a buddy, able to explore together and back each other up.”
“I’m assuming half of the people on this post haven’t played Skyrim together […] I think it [multiplayer] would be a great addition,” argued another user.
Despite several fans wanting multiplayer to “stay far far away” from TES VI, it’s evident from the above comments that the community also recognises the benefits of being able to play with another person.
Consequently, the happy medium would be to have a co-op option, though one that isn’t enforced in any way.
Whether we get such a feature is a topic to debate for another time, lest the community implode from all that arguing.
After all, there’s still discussions about the map concept for the new Elder Scrolls causing unrest among gamers.
Much like the GTA VI community, being left to their own devices is doing more harm than good as theories, rumours, etc spiral out of control.
Unfortunately, official updates from Bethesda are even more scarce than those from Rockstar Games.
How do you feel about the notion of multiplayer being added to TES VI, yay or nay?
